Department of Tamil organized an International Conference on 27th February, 2018, titled on “Tamil Elakkiyangalil Panmuga Sinthanai”. Dr.Subashini, Head, Tamil Marabu Trust; Prof.V.Renuga, Secretary, Tamil Marabu Trust, Madurai and Mrs.T.Pavalasankari, Vallamai writer were the resource persons. They gave a special lecture on Tamil Elakkiyagalin Panmuga Sindanai. In this conference Dr.K.Sathivel, Head, Dept. of Tamil, addressed the gathering. Then Principal .Dr.N.Rajavel gave Felicitation Address and released the book “Ayutha Ezhuthu”. Its contents contain various articles from various Tamil scholars; Tamil researchers and Tamil students. Department of Tamil released the magazine which was recognized by UGC. It was received by Dr.Subashini, the chief guest.
Then our distinguished chief guest gave a special lecture on “Tamil Elakkiyangalil Panmuga Sinthanai”. She gave wonderful speech and shared valuable information about Olai Chuvadi, stone scripts, Agalvaraichi, etc. This conference provides valuable information about traditional and cultural view of our Tamil language. Students from various colleges eagerly participated in this International Conference and they also presented their papers. Finally, the program ended with distribution of certificates.
