Department of English inaugurated “English Literary Association” on 30.07.2018, Monday at 02.00 pm. Mr. P. Karthi, Assistant Professor Dept. of English, Gobi Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Gobichettipalayam, delivered a lecture on the topic “Literature and Society”. The inauguration was initiated with igniting the lamb. The Principal, Chief Guest, Head of the Department of English and a student from I MA English lightened the lamb. Our principal Dr.N.Rajavel, gave welcome address with warm words. Mr.P.Eswaran, HoD, English addressed felicitation address. Then HoD of English department introduced the student members of Literary Association. The chief guest Mr. P. Karthi, started his lecture on the topic “Literature and Society”. He has given more valid points by connecting literature and society. Students were very keen to listen and took notes. Nearly he spoke more than one hour. As soon as he completed his speech, students came out with various questions and doubts, for all the questions and doubts, resource person explained and cleared their doubts with easy address. Finally Mr. K.Periannan, Asst.Prof, Department of English, Proposed vote of thanks. With lot of experience and learning, programme has come to an end.
