Department of English organized A One Day International Virtual Conference on “Women Empowerment and Explorations in the Digital Era” held on 09th & 10th March, 2022. Dr.N.Rajavel, Principal welcomed the gathering released the proceedings of the Conference. Felicitation was give by Administrative Director Dr. K. S. Arulsamy.
Two plenary sessions were held immediately after the inaugural session. The first session was chaired by Dr. Nurul Fadhillah, S.Pd., M.Hum Lecturer & Deputy Head Department of English, IAIN Lhokseumawe Aceh, Indonesia. on the topic “Motherhood and Work Life Balance”.
The Second session was chaired by Dr. P. Padmini, Associate Professor, Department of English, Director, and Centre for Women’s Studies, Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai on the topic Technology and Women Empowerment. In the afternoon of Day I, three parallel sessions in which the researchers presented their papers. On that day totally 175 participants presented the papers.
Dr. V. P. Rathi, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Mannar Thirumalainaicker College, (Autonomous) Pasumalai, Madurai chaired in the first session of Day II, on Women Achievers in the Digital Era. In the second session Dr. Alexis Arizabal – Enriquez, Associate Professor IV, Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology, Philippines presided and delivered a talk on Explorations on Women’s Studies.
In the valedictory session, Dr. H.D. Subashini, IQAC Coordinator, Professor & Head, Department of Botany, addressed the valedictory. Totally 486 participants across the globe take part in the Conference
