We had celebrate Pongal in the college quarter angle on 11th Jan2018 Thursday. Chairman Dr. P.Selvaraj and Secretary Dr.Kaviethra Nandhini Babu inaugurated the Pongal celebrations. Our Principal Dr. N.Rajavel, gave the Welcome Address for this traditional Pongal celebration, were assembled in the quarter angle and prepared the Pongal in new earthen pots. Students from other States, Christians and Muslims students joined the festivities. Traditional games such as Uri Adi and folk dances were conducted.
Pongal marks the auspicious beginning of Uttarayan – sun’s journey northwards.For this Pongal celebration we had invited bull owners with their bulls from various places. The sport of our Tamil culture is to know about Jallikattu. At the end of the Pongal celebration, delicious Pongal was distributed to all our students and staff members.
