On 5th March 2019, department of Mathematics conducted a National Workshop on “Recent Trends in Algebra and Applied Mathematics” (NWRTAAM– 2019). Special welcome address was given by our Principal Dr. N.Rajavel, Felicitation address was given by our Administrative Director cum Controller of Examinations Dr.K.S.Arulsamy, and special address was given by our resource person Dr.S.Coumaressane, Head and Associate Professor of Mathematics, Indira Gandhi Govt. College of Arts &Science, Pondicherry and Dr. A. George Maria Selvam, Head and Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Vellore. This National Workshop was very useful and very interesting to our students and they learn many tricks through this Workshop. 200 Students were beneficiated by the Workshop. Finally our Head of the Department Mrs. Kavitha gave a vote of thanks.
About the Workshop
The aim of the Workshop is to create an overall understanding in “Recent trends in Algebra and Applied Mathematics”. Mathematics, being the Queen of Science provides the learner infinite opportunities to create intelligent innovation. The goal of the workshop is to achieve theoretical knowledge and practical applications of mathematics in related fields. It will also provide a platform to young researchers, teachers, and students to explore the areas of research by exchanging ideas through interaction and Fruitful discussions.
Registration Fees
- Faculty members / Research Scholars: Rs. 250/-
- Students (UG / PG): Rs. 200/-
- Spot Registration will be allowed between 9.00 am. and 11.00 am.
Payments
The registration fee should be in the form of Demand Draft in favour of “The Principal, Selvamm Arts and Science College”, Payable at Namakkal. The registration fee includes refreshment, lunch and workshop kit. No TA / DA is admissible for participants.
