Department of Physics, Inaugurated Physics Association Inauguration and conducted A Special Lecture on “Crystal Growth: An Art” on 10th August, 2018.
In the Opening Ceremony started and welcome addressed by Mr.S. Padmanathan, Dean & Head, Department of Physics. Introductory speech was given by Dr.K.S.Arulsamy Administrative Director, Felicitated by Dr.B. Kaviethira Nandhini, Secretary, Selvam Educational institutions, Principal Dr.N. Rajavel and Vice-Principal’s Mrs.K.K. Kavitha, Dr.P. Thamaraiselvan and Dr.K. Gunasekaran. Next Principal introduced the association members.
Special Address was given by the Chief Guest, Dr.R. Ramesh Babu, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Crystal Growth and Thin Films Lab, Bharathidasan University, Trichy, delivered on “Crystal Growth: An Art”. He explains about the different techniques in the crystal growth and various applications. He also motivates the students to involve in the research in futures. Students are very happy about this programme.
More than 140 students were participated. Finally Mr.P. Pachamuthu, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, delivered the Vote of Thanks.
