On 1st March 2019, Selvamm Arts and Science College, Namakkal celebrated their Annual Day Function and Selfest-19 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The entire college participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was possible by the relentless efforts of our Management.
The event started with a Prayer Song and lightening lamp. Our principal Dr. N. Rajavel delivered his welcome address and submits the Annual report of 2018-2019 academic year. It was the evidence of our past events and activities of our college. After the report our beloved Chairman Dr. P. selvaraj delivered his felicitation address. Followed by our Administrative Director Dr. K.S. Arulsamy who gave a Felicitation address and Introduce our chief guest, Our eminent Chief Guest Mr. P. Chinnaswamy Managing Directer, KKP Textiles Pvt.Ltd. Namakkal who delivered his special address among our students, he was visibly impressed by the impeccable performance showcased by the students across different grades. In his speech to the audience, he appreciated the activities of our college and its immense impact on the minds of youth. Hindi Language skill is an essential for the success of students in many fields. So he advised us to learn National language. This was followed by the Prize distribution ceremony to the students, Teaching and Non Teaching staffs who excelled in Academics, Hundred percentages of Results, Hundred percentages of staff and students attendance, Best Alumni award and extracurricular activities. The programme was an amalgamation of various hues befitting the theme wondrously. Then our cultural programme started with Theme based dances both Western and Folk dances, mime show, solo song, solo dance… Etc. They captivated the guests. Our Students were eagerly participated from various Departments.
Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by vice- principal Mrs. K.K.Kavitha. She acknowledged the efforts of the Students, Teachers, and Supporting Staff and thanked the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence. This was followed by the National Anthem as a tribute to our nation.
