Our Chief Guest, Prof. Dr.P.Kolandaivel Vice-chancellor of Periyar University, Salem. Who gave a special address for our new graduates, He said that Namakkal is known for various transport, especially for lorry and egg. Simultaneously Namakkal city is known for well education institution in and around the Namakkal district. This kind of institution creates many job opportunities for their students. Our chief guest said “It is indeed a proud privilege for me to be present amidst you for the convocation ceremony of this prestigious College. At the outset, I would like to congratulate all the graduating officers for the successful completion of the course.
This convocation is a significant milestone in your academic growth. The degrees and awards earned by all of you are a result of your relentless hard work and immense dedication. This is a proud moment for all of you, as much as it is for your instructors, guides, faculty members and parents. Your quest for higher learning, which began in the portals of the college, will continue all through your professional life in the Indian Army. Learning is a never ending process and the firm foundation provided to you by your alma mater will empower you to explore newhorizons.
Gentlemen, while the successful completion of your course is a matter of pride and joy, it is just a stepping stone to the challenges that lie ahead of you in the future. You live in an era where the pace of technology transition is taking place at a mind bobbling pace that even as I speak, new concepts are being introduced, established paradigms are being refined and research is opening new vistas.
The change being driven by path breaking research is both exhilarating and mesmerizing. He quoted many philosophers’ ideas. Through his eminent speech he motivates our new graduates. Education institution has to be a temple of learning; of humanism, tolerance and balanced. Reasoning. Through the intellectual pursuits and knowledge sharing of scholars, academicians and scientists, it has to contribute to the progress of our society and the nation. Education has to create responsible. Innovative, analytical and compassionate citizens. It has to respond positively to the change in society. Every youth aims at becoming intellectually competent and technically skilled. But knowledge generation without value formation 2 counts for little. Education without values is like a flower without fragrance. Education has to impart values to the youth to make them sensitive to fellow human beings. It has to be a process that completes an individual in all respects.
I know how satisfying it is for a teacher to give students the joy of learning; to make them appreciate, reflect and differentiate the strands of thinking; to make them worthy and willing to shoulder responsibility. The faculty is the lifeblood of a college. They must continuously renew their understanding of the subject. They must be able to transfer knowledge to their students with dedication and commitment. They must act as friend and guide to the students, ever willing to counsel and show them how best they can gear themselves to face the world.
Let us together bring the changes required to make our present higher education system shine brightly once again. I wish you all success for your bright feature.
