To make Namakkal District drug-free and create awareness among the youngsters, the Selvamm Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Namakkal, has organised the Selvamm Marathon 2K25 on the 1st of February 2025. The marathon was conducted in the presence of Dr. P. Selvaraj, Chairman, Dr. S. Babu, Vice Chairman, Mrs. Jeyam Selvaraj, Trustee and Dr. B. Kaviethran Nanthini, Secretary, Selvam Educational Institutions, Namakkal. Earlier, Principal Dr. N. Rajavel welcomed the gathering. Mr. S. Rajesh Kannan IPS, Superintendent of Police, Namakkal flagged off the race. Mr. C. R. Rajesh Kannan, District Liaison Officer, Green Mission, Road Safety and Anti Drug Club, Collectorate, Namakkal was the special invitee, and a total of 300 plus members took part in the race from various states. The winners were awarded with trophies, cash prizes, and certificates.
